RESCUE COMPANY TRAINING
Thursday Night Duty Crew worked on their Rescue Company skills by reviewing
cut station operations during building collapse incidents. The crew also reviewed stokes basket packaging and 3:1 and 4:1 hauling systems. Captain
Bud Miller was the instructor for the night and Rookie Firefighter Victor Ortiz
was a good sport as the patient.

RIT Training (RAPID INTERVENTION TEAM)
The objective of a RIT Team is to have a fully equipped rescue team on scene and in a ready state to deploy for rescuing injured and trapped firefighters.
The Washington Township Fire Department trains countless hours on RIT Operations to keep the Members of the Department as well as the Community safe during fire operations. Training conducted by Captains Pat Dolgos and Jimmy Lee on 06/29/11.

The WTFD firefighter trained on "Sim-Man" Tuesday. The training was provided free of charge by Cooper University Hospital (EMS Outreach). Firefighters practiced medical skills on these computer operated manikins. These manikins actually breath, talk, have blood pressures and even lung sounds.

The WTFD will held Ice Rescue Technician Training at the Holly Dell Drive Pond. Ten additional firefighters became certified following the training. Special thanks to Mr. Tom Hedenberg who allowed us to conduct this training at his property.
